Anson Funds Management LP

Anson Funds Management LP, founded in 2003 and based in Dallas, Texas, is an employee-owned hedge fund sponsor specializing in portfolio management for pooled investment vehicles. Formerly known as Frigate Ventures LP, the firm invests globally in public equity and fixed income markets. It employs a fundamental, bottom-up stock-picking approach, utilizing both in-house and external research to construct its portfolios. Anson Funds is also engaged in commodity pool operations and commodity trading advisory.

Moez Kassam

Moez Kassam, Chief Investment Officer of Anson Funds, oversees investment strategy, trading, and performance. He co-launched Saunders Capital Master Fund LP in 2007, the predecessor to Anson Investments Master Fund LP. A committed philanthropist, Moez supports various causes through the Moez & Marissa Kassam Foundation, including Doctors Without Borders and Camp Oochigeas. The Foundation’s contributions include the Moez & Marissa Kassam Food Court at Michael Garron Hospital. Named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2018, Moez also serves on the boards of the Toronto Library Foundation and Canadian Olympic Foundation. He holds an MBA from London Business School and a BA from the University of Western Ontario.
