In 2001, he founded TCS Capital Management, which grew into one of the largest independent TMT-focused hedge funds globally before converting to a family office in 2017. He has created value as an active shareholder or board member at companies such as Angie’s List, Geeknet, and DHI Group. A former journalist and author, Semler holds a B.A. from Dartmouth and J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Harvard.
