Glendon Capital Management LP
Glendon Capital Management L.P. (GCM) is a Delaware-based SEC-registered investment adviser. It is owned by eight partners, including Holly Kim and Christopher Sayer, with all but one actively managing the firm. GCM manages three main funds (G1, G2, G3) and institutional separately managed accounts, and may expand services to other funds and clients in the future.
Matthew Barrett
Matthew Barrett is a Founder and Partner at Glendon Capital Management, which he established in 2013. Prior to that, he founded and led BAMG from 2006 to 2013. With over 30 years of experience in distressed debt investing, Barrett previously served as a Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management from 1995 to 2005, where he was a leader of the OCM Opportunities Funds, one of the largest global distressed and special situations investment platforms.
Holly Kim
Holly Kim is a Founder and Partner at Glendon and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee. She was a Managing Director at BAMG from 2006 to 2013, where she co-led the firm’s investment activities. Before that, she worked at Oaktree Capital Management from 2000 to 2006 as a Managing Director with the OCM Opportunities Funds. Earlier in her career, she was a consultant at Bain & Company, advising clients in the technology and consumer products sectors.
Brian Berman
Brian Berman is a Founder and Partner at Glendon. He was previously a Managing Director at BAMG from 2006 to 2013 and held a similar role at Oaktree Capital Management from 1996 to 2006. At Oaktree, Berman was a senior member of the OCM Opportunities Funds team, where he focused on idea generation, complex restructurings, distressed investing, and distressed-for-control transactions globally.
Chris Sayer
Chris Sayer is a Partner at Glendon and a member of the Investment Committee. He worked at BAMG from 2008 to 2013, most recently as a Vice President responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and executing distressed opportunities. Before joining BAMG, he was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where he advised corporate clients in the U.S. and South Africa on strategic and financial matters.
Alexander Thain
Alexander Thain is a Partner at Glendon and serves on its Investment Committee. He joined BAMG in 2009 and served as a Vice President responsible for credit opportunities and special situations investments. Prior to BAMG, he worked at Goldman Sachs in the High Yield and Distressed Investing Group, where he focused on stressed and distressed debt and equities.
Chris Delaney
Chris Delaney is a Partner at Glendon. He joined BAMG in 2007 and served as a Vice President with responsibilities across sourcing and analyzing distressed and special situations investments. Before that, he was a Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, providing strategic, operational, and financial advice to clients in the retail, industrial goods, and travel sectors.
