I. Basics

Global Value Investment Corporation is an investment management firm that deploys patient capital to build generational wealth. The firm was founded in 2007 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a fundamental value manager with a long-term investment horizon.

GVIC provides investment research and portfolio management services to individual and institutional clients, primarily registered investment advisors and broker-dealers, through separately managed accounts and private fund investments.

James P. Geygan

James P. (JP) Geygan is the Interim Chief Executive Officer and President at Global Value Investment Corporation (GVIC), a Milwaukee-based, employee‑owned value-oriented investment advisory firm founded in 2007. JP joined GVIC in May 2017 as Vice President of Research and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer & Senior Vice President, effective January 1, 2021. He was elevated to Interim CEO and President prior to January 2025.

He oversees GVIC’s comprehensive investment process—from due diligence and portfolio implementation to shaping legal and activist strategies—and contributes to the firm’s thought leadership on value investing and governance.

JP serves on the Board of Directors of Fluent, Inc., following his appointment in January 2025, reflecting GVIC’s ~15% ownership stake and deep engagement in corporate strategy.

JP holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and began his career at Wells Fargo & Company, where he worked for approximately five years in banking and investment advisory roles before joining GVIC.
