Richard Ding has invested in global markets using arbitrage and value investing strategies for the past 15 years. He began volatility arbitrage trading in the U.S. markets as a master's student in 2008. During 2008–2009, starting with $10K USD, he generated over $1 million USD through arbitrage trading, later earning several million USD over the following years. He founded Goldenwise Capital (Canada) and has served as Chief Investment Officer since 2012, and later founded Goldenwise Capital Group (Hong Kong), where he has served as Chief Investment Officer since 2017.

Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Nankai University and a Master's degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
