Steamboat Capital Partners is a New York based investment manager that employs a value oriented investment philosophy, principally in listed equity and debt securities. Parsa Kiai is the Founder, Managing Partner, and Portfolio Manager of Steamboat Capital Partners, a Connecticut-based hedge fund he established in 2012, focusing on long-short, fundamental, value-oriented strategies targeting undervalued, catalyst-driven investments to exploit market dislocations while prioritizing a margin of safety. Prior to launching Steamboat, he served four years as a Partner at Sonterra Capital, three years as a Senior Analyst at Perry Capital covering the energy sector, and began his career as an Analyst in Goldman Sachs' Investment Banking Division in the Industrials and Natural Resources Group starting in 2005. A Cornell University graduate (1999-2003), Kiai is based in New York, active in organizations like the Economic Club of New York, and has been involved in notable positions such as with CPI Card Group Inc., with Steamboat partnering with Investcorp in 2018 to grow assets under management.
