J. Daniel Plants

J. Daniel Plants is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Voce Capital Management LLC, established in 2011. He brings over two decades of experience in investment banking and law, with prior leadership roles in M&A at Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan, and as a securities attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell. His career includes advising on numerous M&A deals and capital raises exceeding $20 billion. An expert in corporate governance and shareholder activism, he currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Cutera (Nasdaq: CUTR) and as a Director at Calix (Nasdaq: CALX). Mr. Plants holds a JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and a BA in Economics from Baylor University, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa and National College Debate Champion.
