Whitebox Advisors LLC (“Whitebox”) is a multi-strategy alternative asset manager that seeks to generate optimal risk-adjusted returns for a diversified base of public institutions, private entities and qualified individuals. Founded in 1999, Whitebox invests across asset classes, geographies, and markets through the hedge fund vehicles and institutional accounts we advise. The firm maintains offices in Minneapolis, Austin, New York and London.

Gina N. Scianni – Managing Director, Associate General Counsel, Whitebox Advisors

Gina N. Scianni is a seasoned legal and compliance executive in the investment management industry, currently serving as Managing Director and Associate General Counsel at Whitebox Advisors. With two decades of experience advising SEC-registered investment advisers, she specializes in regulatory compliance, firm-wide policy implementation, and risk management.

Before joining Whitebox in 2024, Gina held senior legal and compliance roles at Annaly Capital Management, Marble Ridge Capital, and Contrarian Capital Management, where she served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for over a decade. Her expertise spans Section 13 filings, Form PF, Code of Ethics oversight, and regulatory response management.

Gina began her legal career at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, following a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she contributed to the Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law. She also holds a BFA in Drama from New York University, graduating magna cum laude. She is admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars.
