I. Basics

Wynnefield Capital, Inc. (WCI) is a value investor, specializing in U.S. small cap situations that have a company- or industry-specific catalyst. The surfacing of these catalysts unlocks existing, but previously unrecognized, value for shareholders. Wynnefield maintains an active investment philosophy. Wynnefield is not involved in “Greenmail” situations, but focuses on initiatives with management and outside directors to release value.

Nelson Obus

Mr. Nelson Obus is the Chief Investment Officer and co-manager of Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value L.P. since its inception in 1992, as well as related funds launched in 1997. Prior to founding Wynnefield, he was Research Director at Schafer Capital Management and Schafer Cullen Management. Earlier, he spent eight years at Lazard Freres & Co. in various research and sales roles. Before entering finance, Mr. Obus worked in environmental education and land management. He holds a B.A. from NYU and an M.A./A.B.D. in Politics from Brandeis University. He serves or has served on the boards of multiple companies and nonprofit organizations, including Layne Christensen, Bank of Princeton, and the Appalachian Mountain Club.

Joshua H. Landes

Mr. Joshua Landes is the co-manager of Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value L.P. and its affiliated funds since their respective inceptions in 1992 and 1997. Previously, he worked at Lazard Freres & Co. from 1984 to 1991 in various roles, including trading assistant, analyst, institutional equity salesman, and associate at Lazard Realty. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University. Mr. Landes serves on the boards of S.A.R. Academy and Ken’s Kids, and is actively involved in several charitable initiatives in the U.S. and abroad.
